USC College of Law bags award for excellence
THE Legal Education Board (LEB) will confer an award for Excellence in Legal Education to the University of San Carlos College of Law on Nov. 11, 2011 at the Manila Pavilion on the occasion of the second anniversary of the LEB.
The award is given to the top five law schools in the country based on its performance in the bar examination for the past ten years (2001 to 2010).
The top five law schools are Ateneo de Manila, San Beda College, University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Davao and the University of San Carlos.
The other top performing law schools that will also receive an award for outstanding law schools are University of Santo Tomas (6th), Arellano University (7th), Xavier University (8th), Far Eastern University (9th) and University of San Agustin (10th).
USC College of Law Dean Alex Monteclar will also receive an award for Outstanding Law Dean.
Dean Monteclar is the dean of the USC College of Law from June 2006 to the present.
The awarding ceremony will be attended by all the members of the Supreme Court, other appellate courts, officers of the Philippine Association of Law Schools, Philippine Association of Law Professors, Integrated Bar of the Philippines and other government dignitaries.
